This notice covers the Dive Rite México × ZOTZ website at diverite.mx, its booking pages, TankBot (our public WhatsApp reservation assistant) and OrcaBot / Reservas Orca Dive Rite Mexico (our private Orca boat reservation assistant for authorized dive shops and instructors), where available. These services are operated by ZOTZ SCUBA S.C. and VÁMONOS MOJANDO S.A. DE C.V. Our privacy contact is Ricardo Castillo at Carr. Information you choose to provide
When you enquire, subscribe or book, we receive the information you enter, such as your name, email address, selected services, dates, participants, diving certifications, experience, equipment preferences and acknowledgements. Booking references, payment amounts and payment status are also used to manage your reservation.
We use this information to answer your enquiry, assess course or diving requirements, manage availability, verify payment and send booking, preparation and service messages. Required booking details are separate from optional analytics and marketing consent.
Payments take place through Clip. Card information is entered on Clip’s payment service, rather than into our booking forms.
TankBot and WhatsApp reservations
TankBot is the WhatsApp reservation assistant for Dive Rite México × ZOTZ. When you contact us through WhatsApp, we process your WhatsApp phone number, messages, menu selections and the booking information you provide. This may include your language, diving dates, group size, certification confirmation, diving experience, last-dive information and equipment sizes.
We use these details to respond to your requests, prepare your booking, provide a private checkout link, verify payment status and send reservation confirmations and preparation information. Conversation progress and reservation details are stored through our Cloudflare booking services so you can continue the process. WhatsApp messages are delivered through Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform. Authorized team members may access the information needed to assist you and organize your diving services.
You can select human assistance to pause automated replies. Starting a TankBot conversation does not subscribe you to newsletters or promotional messages. Any business-initiated messages require the appropriate customer consent. Card details are entered only on Clip’s hosted payment page; TankBot does not ask you to send card details in WhatsApp.
The retention and privacy-request sections below also apply to TankBot information. To request access, corrections or deletion, contact info@diveritemexico.mx. WhatsApp and Meta also process information under their own privacy notices.
OrcaBot and private boat reservations
OrcaBot is a separate WhatsApp assistant for reserving spaces on the Orca boat. When this service is available, we use authorized WhatsApp numbers and their association with a dive shop or instructor to control access and identify the business responsible for a reservation. We process your phone number, WhatsApp profile name when supplied, messages, menu selections and reservation history.
Reservation information includes the shop or instructor name, date, departure, dive site, numbers of clients, guides, trainees and companions, cylinder size, valve and gas preferences, booking references, changes, cancellations and amounts due. We use this information to manage shared capacity, confirm and update reservations, organize cylinders and departures, prepare daily operational reports and weekly statements for each shop, and handle service enquiries.
Authorized contacts act on behalf of their shop. Access is intended for that shop’s own bookings and statements; other shops may see the shared departure’s selected dive site and available capacity, rather than your contact details, itemized charges or private messages. Please tell us promptly if a number should no longer have access. Share only the participant information needed to arrange the service.
When enabled for OrcaBot, our Cloudflare services store conversation and booking information, Google Calendar supports departure scheduling, and Telegram delivers internal operational alerts and reports to our team. Authorized staff and the providers needed to deliver the service receive the relevant information. We may share cylinder quantities and specifications with the cylinder supplier to fulfil the order. Weekly statements are provided to the corresponding shop through its agreed contact channel.
OrcaBot does not request card details in WhatsApp. Starting a conversation or reserving a space does not subscribe you to marketing. For help, corrections or exceptional cancellation requests, contact our team. Please do not send medical documents, identity documents, passwords or payment credentials to the bot; ask the team how to handle any information needed for an exceptional case.
The retention and data-deletion instructions below apply to OrcaBot as well as TankBot. WhatsApp and Meta process information under their own privacy notices.
Newsletter and optional marketing
Newsletter subscriptions and booking-related marketing opt-ins are separate choices. Choosing optional website cookies does not subscribe you to emails. EmailOctopus manages our mailing list. You can unsubscribe through the link in a marketing email or contact us at the address above. Booking and payment messages may still be sent when needed to deliver your service.
Your cookie choices
Our website uses Google Consent Mode v2 in basic mode. Our Google measurement tag does not load until you permit Analytics. Advertising permissions remain off unless you choose to enable them. If you reject optional cookies, you can still browse, check availability, book, pay and contact the team.

Google cookies may include names beginning with _ga for analytics and _gcl for advertising. Cookie names and lifetimes depend on the enabled Google features and browser settings. We remove our accessible analytics or advertising cookies when you turn off the relevant category. This cannot remove cookies held on another provider’s domain.
Our analytics events use page and service information, payment amount and a booking transaction reference where applicable. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, certification details, payment-access tokens or card information in those events. Essential browser storage for a pending booking remains available when optional cookies are rejected.
Service providers and external content
Providers process information needed for their role in delivering the website or your requested service. These include Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform for messaging; Sevalla and Cloudflare for hosting, security and booking services; Google Calendar for availability and operational scheduling; Clip for payments; Resend for service emails; EmailOctopus for optional newsletters; and Telegram for internal booking alerts to our team.
When you choose a WhatsApp link, your interaction continues through WhatsApp, including TankBot or OrcaBot where available. Some pages include privacy-enhanced YouTube video embeds. Loading external content can disclose technical information such as your IP address to that provider independently of our Analytics setting. External providers apply their own privacy notices and may process information in other countries.
Keeping and protecting information
Booking and correspondence records are kept for service delivery, payment follow-up, operational records and resolving requests. Some information may need to be retained for accounting, outstanding bookings or other applicable recordkeeping obligations. We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for these purposes or applicable recordkeeping obligations, then delete or anonymize it. We use access controls and service-provider security features, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Access, corrections and deletion requests
You may request access, rectification, cancellation or opposition (ARCO rights), deletion of your information, or withdrawal or limitation of optional consent by emailing info@diveritemexico.mx. You do not need a Facebook account to make a request.
For deletion, use the subject “Data deletion — TankBot”, “Data deletion — OrcaBot” or “Website data deletion”. Include the WhatsApp number with country code or email used with the service, the associated shop where relevant, an optional booking reference and a description of what you want deleted. Do not send passwords, card details or identity documents in your initial request. We may ask for the minimum information needed to verify that you are entitled to make the request.
After verification, we will review the request, delete or anonymize eligible information in the systems we control, and explain any information that must be retained and why, including records needed for outstanding services, billing, disputes or legal obligations. We will communicate the outcome through your verified contact channel. Deleting a WhatsApp chat on your phone does not itself delete our booking records; deleting personal data does not itself cancel a booking or remove an amount due. Copies held independently by WhatsApp, Meta or another provider are subject to that provider’s own request procedures.
Cookie preferences apply to this browser. Other browsers or devices have their own choices. Previously collected information is not automatically deleted when you change a cookie preference.
